| 中文描述 | 肉毒桿菌毒素中毒-是肉毒桿菌的神經毒素所造成的-在鳥類是一種很重要的疾病,特別是在水禽類.當鳥類食入受感染的魚'無脊椎動物的屍體'或是蛆時,便會受到感染.有數以千計的鴨子死於此病的爆發.在水禽的病症通常有突然的虛弱以及肌肉癱瘓.診斷是藉由老鼠血清來做生物鑑定. |

| 英文描述 | Botulism, caused by the neurotoxin of CLOSTRIDIUM BOTULINUM, is an important disease of birds, particularly of waterfowl. Birds injesting fish and invertebrate carcasses infected with the toxin or injesting maggots which contain the toxin can be affected. Thousands of ducks have died in outbreaks. Signs in waterfowl usually have a sudden onset of weakness and flaccid paralysis. Dx by mouse bioassay test on serum. |
